  • Day 1 – Sunset Mokoro Ride OR Xobe Village Cultural Tour

    Upon arrival at Maun Airport, your safari adventure begins with a warm welcome from your ranger and guide. From there, you’ll embark on a 20-minute drive to the picturesque Boteti Tented Safari Lodge. After check-in, enjoy a refreshing complimentary drink and a short orientation about your stay and upcoming activities. You’ll then have time to relax — perhaps enjoy lunch, take a dip in the pool, or simply unwind amidst the natural surroundings.

    In the late afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable sunset Mokoro safari on the Boteti River (depending on water levels). As you glide along the river’s edge, look out for hippos, crocodiles, and a vibrant variety of birdlife. Your knowledgeable Mokoro guide will share fascinating insights about the river’s ecosystem and wildlife.Should water levels be too low, this activity will be replaced with a Xobe Village Cultural Tour, where guests enjoy traditional dances, craft demonstrations, and interactions with local artisans. The tour offers an authentic glimpse into Botswana’s culture while supporting the village’s economic development. After your afternoon excursion, return to the lodge to freshen up and gather around the open fire for a delicious, traditionally prepared dinner under the stars. Enjoy a glass of wine as you listen to the tranquil sounds of the African night.

  • Day 2 – Makgadikgadi, Nxai Pans & Baines Baobab

    After enjoying some freshly brewed coffee and rusks, you will leave Boteti behind and after an early morning departure, your adventure continues as you set off toward the Makgadikgadi Pans, one of Botswana’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders.

    You’ll begin your day with a continental breakfast at a scenic spot within the Pans, surrounded by the vast, shimmering expanse of this ancient salt flat. The silence and scale of the landscape create a breathtaking sense of space and tranquility. Following breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive across the Makgadikgadi Pans, taking in the surreal beauty and subtle wildlife of this extraordinary environment.
    For lunch, you’ll stop at the renowned Baines Baobabs, a group of ancient trees made famous by explorer Thomas Baines. Here, enjoy a picnic lunch beneath their majestic canopies — a perfect setting for reflection and photography.


    In the afternoon, continue your journey through Nxai Pans, where you may encounter zebra, springbok, and other wildlife adapted to this unique semi-arid ecosystem.
    As the day draws to a close, arrive at your exclusive camp set up in the Makgadikgadi Pans or Nxai Pans (depending on availability), where you’ll spend the night under an incredible canopy of stars. Enjoy a bush dinner prepared over an open fire and take in the stunning isolation of the desert — a truly unforgettable experience.

    If guests prefer a bit more luxury, they can upgrade to a tented camp such as Leopard Plains (at an additional cost)

  • Day 3 – Drop off in Maun

    After breakfast, enjoy some final exploration of the area or simply soak in the tranquility before beginning your journey back to Maun.
    You’ll arrive in Maun by late afternoon, with a comfortable drop-off at Maun Airport or your preferred point in town.
