  • Day 1 – Sunset Mokoro Ride OR Xobe Village Cultural Tour

    Upon your arrival at Maun Airport, your safari adventure begins with a warm welcome from your ranger and guide. From there, you will embark on a 20-minute drive to the picturesque Boteti Tented Safari Lodge. The pick-up time may vary based on your schedule, ensuring a smooth start to your journey. Upon reaching the lodge, you’ll undergo a brief check-in process before being introduced to the exciting safari activities planned for your stay. Enjoy a refreshing complimentary drink as you receive an overview of the lodge’s offerings and your planned activities.

    You’ll then have some time to relax and explore the lodge’s natural surroundings. Whether you choose to enjoy a quick lunch or take a refreshing dip in the pool, you’ll have the opportunity to unwind before setting off on your next adventure.

    In the late afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable 2-hour sunset Mokoro safari on the Boteti River. . During your Mokoro safari, you’ll have the chance to observe diverse wildlife, including hippos and crocodiles along the river’s edge, and witness some of Southern Africa’s most remarkable bird life. Your experienced Mokoro guide will share insights into the river’s ecosystem and its inhabitants, enriching your experience.

    This serene and unique experience is dependent on water levels; should the levels be low or the river dry, this activity will be replaced by a Xobe Cultural Tour.

    In the late afternoon, guests of Boteti Tented Safari Lodge embark on a scenic drive to Xobe Village, where they immerse themselves in Botswana’s vibrant culture through traditional dances and interactions with local artisans. The tour not only offers an enriching cultural experience but also contributes to the village’s economic growth, culminating in a serene sundowner drink before returning to the lodge.

    After your afternoon excursion, return to the lodge to freshen up before joining us around the open fire.

    Here, you can absorb the tranquil ambiance while savoring a delicious and traditionally prepared meal paired with a glass of wine. Dietary requirements are accommodated to ensure a delightful dining experience as you listen to the sounds of the night.

  • Day 2 – Makgadikgadi, Nxai Pans & Baines Baobab

    On your day trip from Boteti Tented Safari Lodge, you will depart early to explore the captivating
    Makgadikgadi Pans. Your adventure begins with a continental breakfast at a scenic spot within the
    Makgadikgadi Pans, allowing you to savor your meal amidst the natural beauty of this extraordinary
    landscape.

    Following breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive across the Makgadikgadi Pans, taking in the vast, otherworldly landscapes and the unique beauty of this expansive region.
    For lunch, you will stop at the renowned Baines Baobab area. Here, you can enjoy your meal surrounded by the impressive baobab trees that are a highlight of the region’s scenery. This picturesque setting provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxing lunch.


    In the afternoon, your return journey will take you through Nxai Pans, where you will have the
    opportunity to appreciate the diverse wildlife and stunning vistas of this distinct environment.
    You will return to Boteti Tented Safari Lodge in the late afternoon, concluding a day filled with
    extraordinary experiences and memorable sights.

     

  • Day 3 – Drop off in Maun

    Following an exciting few days of activities and travel, your morning at Boteti Tented Safari Lodge
    is designed for relaxation and leisure. After a restful night in your luxurious safari tent, start your
    day with a delightful bush breakfast, where you can enjoy a variety of freshly prepared dishes
    amidst the serene natural surroundings.


    The morning is yours to savor at a leisurely pace. Take this opportunity to fully enjoy the lodge’s
    amenities and the tranquil environment. Whether you choose to unwind by the pool, take a stroll
    through the scenic grounds, or simply relax and soak in the beauty of your surroundings, this is
    your time to rejuvenate.

     


    As your stay comes to a close, you will be transferred back to Maun Airport or to your preferred
    drop-off point within Maun, ensuring a smooth and comfortable end to your safari adventure.
