  • Day 1 – Sunset Mokoro Ride OR Xobe Village Cultural Tour

    Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be welcomed by your ranger and guide before departing on a short 20 minute transfer to the peaceful Boteti Tented Safari Lodge.
    After check-in, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and a brief orientation about your upcoming safari
    adventures. Spend some time settling into your comfortable tent and taking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding bush. As the afternoon cools, embark on a sunset mokoro ride along the Boteti River (subject to water levels). Glide quietly along the calm waters while watching for hippos, crocodiles, and the many waterbirds that frequent the riverbanks. Your experienced guide will share fascinating insights about the area’s ecosystem and wildlife.
    Return to the lodge to freshen up before gathering around the open fire for a delicious traditional dinner under the stars. The calls of the African night complete your first magical evening on safari.

    Your evening will be spent in a luxurious safari tent, which will be ready for you from 14:00. Enjoy the comfort and tranquility of your tented accommodation as you prepare for the adventures that lie ahead.

  • Day 2 – Full Day Mokoro Safari & Nature Walk

    Rise early to the sounds of the bush and enjoy coffee and rusks before departing for your full-day Mokoro safari in the Okavango Delta.
    Your adventure begins as you glide silently through the reed-lined channels of this pristine wilderness, poling through crystal-clear waters with your experienced local guide. Most Mokoro guides are from the Bayei tribe — known as the “people of the Delta” — and they will share fascinating insights about the wildlife, traditional practices, and medicinal uses of local plants.
    During the morning, you’ll explore secluded islands and stop for a guided nature walk, where your guide will interpret animal tracks, identify bird species, and discuss the intricate balance of this incredible ecosystem.
    A packed picnic lunch will be enjoyed on one of the many islands, offering a tranquil break surrounded by nature.


    After lunch, you’ll continue your exploration through the Delta’s channels, keeping an eye out for elephants, red lechwe, and a stunning array of birdlife before returning in the late afternoon.
    Back at Boteti Tented Safari Lodge, unwind with a refreshing drink as you watch the sunset over the Boteti River. Dinner is served under the stars, offering the perfect close to your day of discovery.

  • Day 3 – Makgadikgadi, Nxai Pans & Baines Baobab

    After enjoying freshly brewed coffee and rusks, depart early for an adventure to the breathtaking
    Makgadikgadi Pans, one of Botswana’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Start your day with a continental breakfast at a scenic spot within the Pans, surrounded by the vast, shimmering expanse of this ancient salt flat. The silence and scale of the landscape create a breathtaking sense of space and tranquility.
    Following breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive across the Makgadikgadi Pans, taking in the surreal beauty and unique wildlife of this remarkable environment.
    For lunch, you’ll stop at the renowned Baines Baobabs, a cluster of ancient trees made famous by explorer Thomas Baines. Enjoy a picnic lunch beneath their majestic canopies — a perfect setting for reflection and photography.


    In the afternoon, continue through Nxai Pans, where you may spot zebra, springbok, and other wildlife adapted to the desert landscape.
    As the day draws to a close, arrive at your exclusive wilderness campsite set up in the Makgadikgadi or Nxai Pans (depending on conditions). Enjoy a bush dinner around the campfire and take in the magnificent night sky — an unforgettable experience under a blanket of stars.

    If guests prefer a bit more luxury, they can upgrade to a tented camp such as Leopard Plains (at an additional cost)

  • Day 4 – Drop off in Maun

    Wake to a spectacular sunrise over the open pans and enjoy a hearty bush breakfast as the morning light paints the horizon in soft pastel hues.
    After breakfast, take time for a final short walk or quiet reflection before beginning your journey back to Maun. Arrive in Maun by late afternoon, where you’ll be comfortably dropped off at Maun Airport or your preferred location in town.
    Your safari concludes here — but the memories of Botswana’s diverse landscapes, from river to delta to desert, will last a lifetime.
